Enclosed
is a reservation form that needs to be filled out to indicate your plans as an
exhibitor for the 2008 Fair. Return this
as soon as possible. If you exhibited in
previous years, your booth will be held for you until July 1. Any reservations received after July 1 will
have booth assignments made on a space available basis. Please include a copy of your certificate of
insurance with your reservation.
Exhibit

and 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. Booths may be
dismantled after 6 P.M. on Sunday or on Monday morning between 9 A.M. and Noon. If at all possible, we request that outside
exhibitors set up their displays on Monday, July 14.
All
exhibit buildings will be opened at Noon and locked at 10 P.M. Thursday, July
16 thru Saturday, July 19, and from Noon until 6 P.M. on Sunday, July 20. Please plan to staff your booth during these
hours. Security will be on the

A.M. each day if you any problems or concerns during the Fair. Buildings are opened and swept by the night
watchmen. The Monona County Fair
Association will not be held liable or responsible for missing items or
merchandise.
No
carnival this year, but the Fair has arranged for inflatable games and rides
for Saturday and Sunday. Armband
sessions will run from 1 to 5 P.M. and 6 to 10P.M. on Saturday, and 2 to 6 P.M.
on Sunday. Armbands will sell for $15 in
advance, or $20 during the Fair.
Vehicle
passes will not be required on Wednesday, July 16. However, no vehicles will be allowed on the
grounds without a pass during the Fair.
Please come to the Fair Office to obtain a vehicle pass if you need to
have a vehicle on the fairgrounds after Wednesday.
Commercial
exhibitors wishing to stay overnight on the fairgrounds during the Fair will be
charged $20.00, paid in advance.
Literature
may only be distributed from a rented booth.
We discourage handing out balloons since the kids have a tendency to
fill them with water, then get into trouble with other
exhibitors and visitors to the Fair.
Any
item for sale or distribution must be approved by the Monona County Fair
Association Board of Directors. Thank
you for your cooperation in this matter.
We
will hold a Treasure Sale on Saturday, June 7 from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M., then have a Demolition Derby at 7 P.M. that evening. The Treasure Sale will be a combination of a
garage sale, a flea market, a craft show, and a business promotion tool. This year it will include a community wide
garage sale. In cooperation with the
Onawa Chamber of Commerce, folks from the community may have their site listed
on an ad in the local newspapers for $3 or they may rent space at the
Fairgrounds for $10. You are welcome to
join in the fun. Tables or spaces will
rent for $10 each. Please call if you
would like more information.
